description

The Pandoro is a Christmas cake that appeared in the nineteenth century in Verona but soon became democratized throughout Italy.

On the 14th of October 1894, Domenico Melegatti filed a patent on a tender and golden cake, flavored with vanilla in the shape of a truncated cone and with an eight-pointed star section. It is now with the panettone one of the most popular Christmas cakes in Italy.
