This plant of the Umbelliferae family is originally from Minor Asia. It is sometimes called Chinese parsley or Arabic chervil. It is grown today in all latitudes and especially in Europe, North America and North Africa. Leaves can be eaten as well as seeds. The latter, slightly aniseed taste, have a pleasant fragrance of orange peel, citrus, spice, wood and dry grass.
