description
Nonnettes are biscuits that used to be consumed during a trip and were invented in the Middle-Age. While they are often associated with Dijon and Burgundy, these small biscuits can also be found in Champagne, Lorraine and Beaujolais. Nonnettes were historically made by nuns in convents, hence these delicacies' atypical name.
Reminiscent of childhood's savours, these nonnettes are gingerbread biscuit filled with jam. The Maison Mulot & Petitjean offers smaller versions that are more appropriate for coffee or during tea time: the mini-nonnettes. Filled with chocolate they are rich in taste and will delight young and old alike.
