description

La Grappa di Amarone is a pomace brandy liquor based on Corvina grape, used in the making of the Amarone della Valpolicella (one of the most famous Italian hay wine), and is distilled by the winemasterl Capovilla in his famous bain-marie stills, just outside of the town of Bassano. La Grappa di Amarone is sophisticated liquor, marked by touches of fig, raisin, incense, white flower, kirsch and pepper.

Each bottle is hand-laced, hand-waxed, and finally hand-sealed, which shows how much care is taken in the process of making of this product. The hand-written label let you know about the fruit type, the year of harvest, and the number of each bottle. It is a real sterling work.

The first scent you will get is concentrated and sophisticated, pure fig with grape stalk. White flowers are trying to escape, and incense is being felt. The second perfume to reach your nose is more based on fresh fruits (pomela, watermelon). A nice rancio reminding of cherry liquor is there, and becomes kirsched. The taste is firmly balanced. It takes control of your taste buds, but cannot hide the spices (white pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg) and chocolate and truffle notes. The final touch is lengthy; flowers (violet, lavender, lilac) are present. Apricots whose stone have been crushed let you feel their extremely concentrated sweetness. Lime and angelic finally bring their freshness to the product.
